Philippines Makeup Haul (Part 1)

I'm very excited to share with you the first post for my blog! I recently went to the Philippines for a vacation last July 2017 and bought tons of makeup. I will try to list down all of the prices for interested folks if I still have them available and will write reviews for most of the items. I bought the products mainly at SM department stores and Watsons in case any of you were wondering.

Since this is going to be a long haul I will not be doing any swatches and will try to make it as organized as possible. Reviews will be coming soon!

First one on the list is the brand Happy Skin. I had the chance to purchase three of their products on three different locations (two different department stores and one stall) since I was experiencing "indecisive" moments.

Shut up and Kiss Me in the shade Honeymoon Glow(₱649.00) is apparently one of the popular shades in their moisturizing matte lip line according to one of the SA's at the department store counter. I decided to pick one up to see what makes it so special.

While walking inside MOA I stumbled across a Happy Skin stand alone stall and decided to purchase another product from them. The Glisten up Precision Cheek Highlighter (₱640.00approx.) was again another recommended product by one of the SA's from the brand. After swatching the tester I decided to get this due to its lovely champagne shade.

Lastly for Happy Skin is their limited edition Beauty and the Beast Lip kit (₱1,199.00) which I always saw every time I passed by their counters or stalls. I finally picked it up after concluding that I won't find anything like this where I live plus I love the movie Beauty and the Beast so might as well get it *justifying my decisions #noregrets

Since I bough a couple of Korean makeup brands during the trip I will now post all of them here ...

Next is The Face Shop which is a brand that is actually available here. Although, I did notice a main difference from their stores compared to ours, they had more choices

From what I know, the Watery Tint in the shade 02 Coralster (₱350.00approx.) is not available in our stores as of yet which is a bummer since it is a nice lip tint. The colour in the photo doesn't apply the same on the lips due to it's consistency, it is more sheer in application.

The Designing Eyebrow Pencil in the shade 02 Gray Brown (₱260.00aprrox.) was recommended to me by my best friend back in the Philippines. I was wondering what she was using on her eyebrows since they looked amazing. This eyebrow pencil makes application easy and also manages to look natural at the same time.

Roaming around SM Department store, I stumbled across the counters of Banila Co. which reminded me that I did want to check out one of their items.

I wanted to try their Two Kisses Dual Tint in the shade 02 Pink Princess (₱695.00) since it had an interesting concept of having two different liquid consistencies on each side. The formula might help with achieving a more blended lip tint gradation.

So.. initially I was having bad makeup days during the vacation due to the high humidity of the country and my skin having a bad reaction to it. Basically, my oily face became even more oilier and my base makeup wasn't working well because of it. I came across the Prime Primer in Matte (₱1,090) at their stall so I decided to try it. From my experience, I believe this was one of the products that helped prevent makeup meltdowns for the whole duration of my vacation.

Etude House was one of the stand alone stores that I wanted to check out due to it's cute kind of princessy concept. However, I only found one item interesting during my visit.

The Face Blur(₱898.00approx.) is a face primer that I've always wanted to try but never had the chance to do so due to different reasons. Once I saw that it was available in store I grabbed the chance of purchasing one to see why it was so popular. I am still in the middle trying it out so I don't have an actual opinion as of the moment.

That's it for the Korean makeup brands for this haul. Now on to the next one!

I was not aware that Canmake is available at Watsons so when I saw the brand I immediately went for their blushes since I've been seeing them often in Japanese makeup videos. From what I've noticed, their Glow Fleur Cheeks in the shade 06 Milky Red Fleur (₱680.00approx.) had the most pigment so that's what I chose. The brush included is very soft so I would say that it can be used for blush application.

Ofra cosmetics was also a brand that I wanted to try due to it's amazing reviews regarding their liquid lipsticks. To my surprise, the brand was available at the SM department store in MOA.

After swatching tons of liquid lipsticks on my hand I finally decided to get the shade Havana Nights(₱850.00) which is a vampy deep red shade. I wanted to purchase a lip colour that's different from what I've been usually getting during the trip which was a LOT of nudes/MLBB shades. I think this would be a perfect shade for fall or the holidays.

Last brand for this post is Maybelline. This brand has a couple of makeup products that is not available here in Canada so I went ahead to see what they had.

The White Super Fresh Face Powder in the shade 03 Natural (₱299.00) grabbed my interest due to it's claims. According to the packaging, this is meant to keep you matte for 12 hours so we'll see if it does what it claims it will be doing. I haven't tried it yet since I wanted to do a specific review for this.

So that's it for my haul part 1! Thanks for reading and hopefully you can come back to see part 2 of the haul which will consist of more Filipino makeup prodcuts!

~Reviews will be coming soon!♥
